My work is rooted in visual storytelling - constructed through form, material, image, and gesture. I work with both identifiable and unidentifiable subject matter, weaving symbolism into abstraction to evoke emotion, memory, and meanng beyond the literal.

In photo montage, I deconstruct and reassemble fragments of experience; in ceramics or painting, I build surface and shape to hold narrative tension with elements of pattern. This use of pattern and texture explores the dynamic contrast between the neutrality of black, white, grey and the expressive energy of color.
